Kindle Cover

I love my books and my dream house will have a library with comfy chairs and an espresso machine! However, since I am going to be in Germany for another 4 month and want to read the Game of Thrones series, I broke down and finally bought an e-reader. I was not happy about it but I just couldn't fit 5 large books in my suitcase. I am already 30% done with the first book so I might even be reading something else here when I'm done with those. In other words, it was just more practical for traveling than carrying around books. I was disappointed that e-books were the same price as the paper ones. That doesn't make much sense to me but oh well. I didn't want to spend $30+ on a Kindle cover so I thought I'd make my own. My lovely friend Rachel gave me an Etsy gift card for my birthday so I found a pattern and made one myself. I think it is much nicer looking (and a fraction of the price) than the store bought ones. It's a nice snug fit and very padded so I never feel worried about carrying it in my backpack or, heaven forbid, dropping it. I really love this fabric and hope to make more things out of it if I can find it again. The seller gives her buyers permission to sell things made from this pattern so I might add a few of these to my Etsy shop when I get back.

It has 2 little pockets and one large one on the inside flap

Infestor Plush

I made an Infestor plush for Hunter's birthday! I love the Star Craft Carbot videos so I thought it would be a fun thing to make. It was annoying having to make a pattern from only what I could see in the videos. So there was a lot of trial and error but I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. I would like to make another and fix some of the things I didn't like about the first one but I don't have time to do it before I leave.

I have been very busy with my Minecraft pigs. I am very thankful for the business but it has made me very tired of sewing after have to make the same thing 5 times.
We also went and got Hunter a tattoo and sushi for his birthday!

Sebastian Doll

I finally was able to make something cosplay instead of Etsy this week. This is my Sebastian Michaelis doll for my Grell cosplay. Pretty happy with how he turned out and can't wait to put the whole outfit together in August!

I also finally did a cake. It was very last minute and FAR from my best work but I think it turned out ok for spending a couple hours to make the whole thing. I will have to redeem myself next year! I just don't have time at the moment to work my decorating magic :( Oh well, it tasted great and my mom liked it so that's all that matters!

Chocolate cake, vanilla buttercream, and chocolate butterflies
I made something new to add to my shop from a request. Hope it sells :) I will also be adding a couple more things that people have requested.
 Tofu Kitty :3

I want to try to make a little bit more money before I leave. Kind of hard to make much in a couple months but I have gotten a lot done. I also bought a lot of cosplay/etsy fabric for very cheap! I love you coupons ^_^ Hopefully I'll have a couple more cosplay things to post before I have to leave. It's coming up fast! Only have about 3 weeks left before back to Germany.

Horns and Hair

I am finally meeting with my friends this weekend to continue our Dungeons and Dragons game we started. I mean, it never ends pretty much but we have only been able to play twice in a year so we're all very excited! I am a Tiefling (as I said in my previous post) hunter. We updated my character a bit so now I have this awesome Displacer Beast pet and some new skills ^_^
I wanted to dress up so I made some horns from Model Magic. Everyone keeps raving about it so I thought I'd give it a try. I am very happy with the results. Not too bad for my first time making horns or even working with MM. The base is just a bunch of tinfoil and then I molded the MM around it. I then used a little metal walnut sheller to carve all the details (we cosplayers are very resourceful!). I allowed them to dry all night and they seem completely done this morning. They never get hard like polymer clay but they are pretty sturdy. Another awesome thing about this stuff is it's super light so even though these horns are pretty big they don't feel heavy or flop around. I poked holes in them this morning and threaded leather cord through it. I LOVE how it looks with my hair. So happy with them. I'm going to look badass tonight lol

For my hair I had to bleach it once on my own then the hair dresser bleached it, put toner on it, and cut it. Then my mom and I dyed it red but it didn't take that much the first time so I re-dyed it last night and left it on for 3-4 hours and now it's prefect. I hope it stays this color at least for a month because this is exactly what I was going for. My lovely Grell hair :3

I have finished all my Etsy orders so far and so I can start working on cosplay now. I think I will make my Bassy doll for my Grell cosplay next. I need to figure out a starting point for my other cosplays. I need to make a body suit for Maya from Borderlands, the metal/LED glove for Ezreal from League of Legends, my steampunk dress, and Hunter's Zed from Borderlands cosplay. So I just need to pick one and start.
I will take some more full body pictures when I have someone to help me and then I'll take some pictures of our D&D awesomeness tonight!

Back in the States

Hello my lovely followers :3 I am back in the USA! Woot! I have been working hard to get all my sewing/cosplay stuff together again so I can get to work. I already have 6 Etsy orders which is great and keeping me busy. Oh and my friend made me a beautiful banner for my very naked shop so go check it out! Also trying to get back in a workout routine since when I got back from Germany my immune system was not happy and I not only got sick twice but also had a crazy allergic reaction to something and my ENTIRE body broke out in hives. I have never been allergic to anything before so I'm wondering if it was just a system shock to too many new things. All better now though just have to take a ton of pills which I'm very ready to be off of next week. Been spending lots of time with my Hunter ^_^ So excited to see him, my family, and my animal friends again. Raistlin (my crested gecko) is for sure a boy and has gotten huge. He is finally starting to look like a gecko. I was told it can take 3-4 years for them to get full grown so he is about half that right now.

Sorry for the lack of crafty stuff today. As I said I'm mostly working on orders but my Grell cosplay is in from China and I will be starting on my personal projects soon. I will tear into my Grell cosplay and take some pictures next week. So excited at the killer deal I got on it. I was able to order the entire cosplay from the same company and they threw in some of the accessories (glasses, chain, wig cap) for free as well as a coupon for my next order and some fun little goody bags. They also gave me a bulk order shipping discount so I saved about $40 in the end. I will definitely be using them again as long as everything looks ok when I open it. I will be making some Tiefling horns this weekend for our big D&D game next week. We're all so excited. They have been nice and not played without me and I'm going to try to get them to dress up as well. Hehe any excuse to cosplay! For me and Hunter's Christmas/Valentine's I gave him the F.C. Köln jacket I bought him, a bunch of Ritter Sport chocolate, 007 Skyfall, and made him Bacon Roses. The jacket looks great on him and he loved it ^_^ He got me an awesome Star Wars poster, a beautiful Grimm's Fairy Tales book, a steampunk fashion book, a couple D&D miniatures (I finally have a tiefling to play with now!), and a  Michael's gift card to buy paint for my mini. He also took me out for a delicious sushi dinner and then we watched movies.

 cute and tasty man roses
 nom nom sushi!
Love it
Hunter also got me hooked on The Game or Thrones series. I wanted to read it first but they're so long and I keep hearing so many good things about the show so I broke down and just decided to watch it instead. It was amazing. We watched the entire first season this week. Of course I want to make a cosplay from it now haha The costumes are so beautiful. Plus they would look great at the Raleigh Renaissance Festival. Think that's all for now. I will be posting more interesting things as soon as they're made.

Nyjacky's Veigar plush

I can't believe I spent 10 hours straight (with help from my mom) working on this plush and never posted it >.< I made this for MLG Raleigh for Nyjacky's birthday. He was very excited about it and I was able to get my picture with the entire Curse team and he posted a picture of me, him and Veigar on the Curse facebook!
